Pet Sitting
Why make your pets stay in cages while you're on vacation? I can take care of them in the comfort of their own home. I'm experienced with dogs, cats, parrots, reptiles, fish (salt water, tropical, and cold water species), small mammals, and farm animals. I will provide this service for Oswego and the surrounding areas. All prices will be agreed upon by both myself and you based upon the number, types, and temperments of animals, and the type of visit required. Choose from the services below.
- Dog walking- I stop by and walk your dog while you're at work, or if you simply don't feel like it. Time is based upon physical ability of dog, temperature, and the duration that you feel your dog should be walked. Can be made into a regular schedule.
- Work visit- while you're at work, I let out dogs, and feed any animal. Great for those days you work overtime.
- Pet taxi- got a vet visit or a grooming appointment that you won't be able to make? I will drive your pet there and back for you.
- Out of town visits- While you're away, I can feed your pets, let them outside, walk them, clean cages and litter boxes, water plants, and bring in mail. You tell me how many times a day you'd like me to stop by, and what should be done each time.
- Overnight visits- I live at your house day and night, while you are away, taking care of your pets as though they were my own. Pets must be up to date on all vaccinations, and willing to accept another animal in the house while I am there (my friendly dog stays with me on overnight visits). Pets owners must sign a form allowing me to make decisions in the case of a veterinary emergency. Pets must be self sufficient for 8 hours at a time so I may continue my normal work schedule.
- Boarding- I can board caged animals, and if absolutely needed, dogs and cats, at my house. Due to renovations being performed, my house isn't set up for more large animals than we already have, but birds, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals would be fine. They would get lots of out of the cage time while staying at my house, many treats, and personalized attention.
Grooming
I can do basic grooming in your own home, if you'd prefer. E-mail me at eclectus_cove@gmail.com and we can discuss rates.
- Bath- prices determined by type of animal and personallity difficulties. We do not yet have a pressure dryer for dogs and cats, so warm weather only or only at your house where the animal will stay inside until dry. Birds cannot fly or glide while wet so we recommend keeping them in a cage until they dry. Cats and dogs can substitiute a regular bath for a flea bath at no extra charge.
- quick cut- I simply brush down the animal and do touch-up clipping between the toes, behind the ears, and other problem areas. Great for those long-haired breeds that are difficult to manage at home. (*note- I lack some of the equipment to do a full-out clip on your thick coated dogs, and I'd recommend you visit your local dog groomer for any dog requiring more than just a trim or knot removal)
- nail clipping-most animals need their nails trimmed at some point or another. I can do your dogs, cats, birds, or small mammals.
- wing clipping-although I believe that unclipped birds tend to be happier and healthier, there are times when a clipped bird will be safer and more secure. I recommend having your bird clipped when you first acquire it and anytime you move them to a room or home that they are not accustomed to.
Any pets that you get from us receive lifetime grooming and boarding services for free.
